Rayon

Like viscose and modal, rayon belongs to the group of artificial fibres. We distinguish between natural, artificial and synthetic fibres. Artificial fibres are made from natural raw materials, but are subjected to chemical processes, which allows for the improvement of their production technology. This creates new possibilities, such as obtaining different qualities, increasingly perfect and delicate textures, or imparting desired characteristics and properties.

Rayon is a fibre related to viscose, and therefore very similar to it. During the processing of rayon fibres, a thread similar to that of a silkworm cocoon is produced, which is why this fibre is called artificial silk. It has almost the same aesthetic qualities as natural silk. It is often difficult to tell the two apart. However, rayon is much easier to wash and more durable than delicate silk.


CARE

Rayon garments can be machine washed at 30°C with a gentle spin cycle or hand washed. Do not stretch the garments when hanging them up or washing them by hand. Iron on the reverse side at a temperature of up to 110°C.
