EXCLUSIVE PROM DRESSES

Unique and elegant prom dresses

Many people believe that a prom dress must be unforgettable and stunning. However, it is equally important that it is... comfortable. A well-chosen outfit should keep you comfortable throughout the whole crazy night.

If you want to combine all the benefits in one perfect outfit, be sure to pay attention to three things: the cut, the fabric and the details. Each of these aspects can affect how you feel.

A carefully sewn, exclusive prom dress fits the dress code. In addition, it makes you feel great. It is worth making sure that the party is not ruined by a boss that digs into your body, a fabric that does not breathe, or the need to suck in your stomach.

Fabric and cut in Hexeline prom dresses

At Hexeline, we attach great importance to materials. When it comes to elegant prom dresses, we focus on those that drape well and are sufficiently breathable. Some must remain stiff to maintain, for example, a flared bottom and a tight top, while others, such as satin dresses with a cowl neckline, have a much more flowing, body-hugging shape.

For each model, we make sure that the specific cut harmonises with the fabric. Among our proposals, you will find, among others satin-like fabrics - shiny, smooth, beautifully draping on the body, ideal for evening outfits; velvet-like fabrics – soft, luxurious, adding depth and elegance to prom dresses; rayon – also light, soft, often referred to as artificial silk; and viscose, which is breathable, pleasant to the touch and skin-friendly.

We also often use various accessories made of, among others:

  • tulle - light and transparent, used mainly to create flared skirts, adds lightness and romanticism;

  • chiffon - airy, light, perfect for delicate dresses with a looser cut;

  • small sequins - adding a touch of Hollywood glamour, perfect for body-hugging, figure-flattering outfits.

Many girls wonder whether a prom dress should be long or short. In this case, there is no single rule. It all depends on your preferences and the effect you want to achieve. Classic floor-length evening dresses with a tulle, princess-style skirt are sure to attract attention and create a "wow" effect. They are also more formal and elegant. In addition, they are a good choice if you want to make your legs look slimmer.

Other options include midi dresses, which are approximately mid-calf length and are extremely popular. They are the number one choice for women who want to strike a balance between a short and a long dress. What's more, mid-length prom dresses are extremely girly.

The last suggested length is the sexy mini. Short dresses ending above the knees are the perfect choice for those who want to show off their legs.

However, the most important thing is to make sure that the model you choose is tailored to your height. To this end, you may want to consider having the dress altered if it is too long. Otherwise, you risk tripping over it while dancing.

How to choose an exclusive prom dress?

Another key aspect when choosing a prom dress is to match it to your body type. When buying, it is worth paying attention to the fact that different cuts emphasise different assets.

For women with an hourglass figure, i.e. a proportional figure with a narrow waist, it is worth choosing models that emphasise this part of the body, e.g. with a fitted bodice and a flared skirt.

Apple-shaped figures, i.e. with a fuller stomach, look great in empire dresses, i.e. dresses cut under the bust. People with a pear-shaped figure, i.e. with wider hips and narrower shoulders, should choose dresses that balance the proportions of the body, e.g. with a decorative top or halter neckline. Rectangular figures, i.e. those with a less defined waist, can opt for prom dresses with ruffles, frills or a belt.

What about the choice of colour? Gold and silver, i.e. metallic colours that add sparkle, work well for evening outings. A safe option is a blue, black or navy blue prom dress. Muted colours suit almost every type of beauty.

For subtle and romantic girls, delicate, pastel and powdery shades such as aquamarine, mint or pink are suitable. Red and orange, on the other hand, as colours full of passion and energy, are mainly aimed at bold women.
